If I ask a serious question,will I get a serious answer?
I posted a question in a certain category, I have received six answers so far,four of them are pointless.

Unfortunately, that happens. I asked a question about studying abroad and only got one answer. People use this site merely for fun, not for questins they actually want answered, and if they do ask a reasonable question, idiots with dumb answers reply. I wish I could find a way to help, but that's how it is nowadays

No, No you wont. well.. depends on the catergory. If its Politics or religion or something like that then yes. otherwise no.
That sounds quite typical to me.a lot of it depends on the subject matter though-if people can find something stupid or pointless to say,then they often will.

I guess sometimes it depends on the question, I have to be honest I enjoy writing nonsense in the vain hope that someone can answer your question properly and I can give you a smile on the way!

Usually some of the answers will be serious, some inane, no matter how serious the question.
As there is no age limit you get a lot of kids posting messages and stuff. Also as you don't have to pay (thank god or i wouldnt be on here lol) people can spend as much time as they like on here wasting peoples time with pointless answers without costing them a thing. its a sad but true thing

Ihave found that most of the ans seem to be quite serious ,but I have also had a few pointless ones ,some funny ,but some a complete waste of valuable time ,,,,good luck with your questions anyway bye E

A lot of people post "answers" that are basically irrelevant to the question. I think it violates the Community Guidelines, but there are so many of them that there's no use reporting every single one.
Sure, if you ask a serious question, that you genuinely need an answer to, there should be more people who give you serious answers. This one seems a little serious, since curiosity is only human nature, but everyone has a different way of thinking, so some questions may seem silly to them.
