Cutting Edge

In 1937, Sonja Henie appeared in the film Thin Ice.There is also The Cutting Edge and its sequel, The Cutting Edge: Going for the Gold and Ice Princess. Think the Thin Ice one was about a hockey player and his partner. I remember watching it in the 80s.
The Cutting Edge with D.B. Sweeney and Moira Kelly. Man, I love that movie!!

Excellent Coming of Age Romantic Comedy, 3 March 2005
Author: PBakerTX from Austin, Texas, United States
I found this movie very enjoyable to watch. The chemistry between Moira Kelly and D.B. Sweeney is very realistic. Even their arguments with one another appears genuine. Each of them wounded from previous experiences, not willing to open up to one another. All of this taking place in a point in their lives where they are each struggling to find something more out of life and end up discovering themselves and one another. Eventually, taking both of them beyond the quest of a gold medal.
The skating scenes are wonderful and the music (especially the scores from Patrick Williams) was incredible.
This is a movie that I never get tired of and it keeps drawing me back to it.

The one you're thinking of is The Cutting Edge, it's older, but they just did a remake. They're both really good, but I like the second one.
The film you're talking about is called The Cutting Edge. "Toe Pick"..ROTFLOL
cutting edge was a made for TV movie that somtimes is aired on ABC family. it has funny moments but is REALLY unrealistic, the stuff that they do, like he throws her and then does a backflip and then cathches her. stuff like that.
Other than that, i don't think there are any skating movies. I know, isn't it awful?
