How do you end up with negative points?!?
I'm not much of a football fan, but was watching the results today and one team, I think it was Crawley down in the Conference or something, had -1 points, how?
Also, what did Rotherham get their 10 point deduction for?
Answers:
Yes, as stated above it was because they went into administration (see news item below).
Seems very harsh - talk about kicking a team when they're down.
Though looks like they have made a pretty good start to the season if they're only -1 now.

when you are a chav and bloody awkward
I don't know unless it is for penalities - and that's probably why Rotherham got -10 points!@
You can get negative points for asking dumb questions on Yahoo Answers. If you have negative points that's a clue. they are trying to tell you something.
I'm not 2 sure why but maybe they did something wrong last season for the FA to deduct points. Like the fans didn't cooperate in the match day.
the most common thing for points deduction's is for finances, theres an automatic deduction if a club go's into administration, they also get a bigger one if there books don't add up suggesting they are play dodgy, also illegally approaching players
Juventas got relegated and -30 points for match fixing!
if youre not a football fan why are you asking such a question?
Maybe a foul
The reason why rotherham are on -10 points is because they went bankrupt. The FA have rule that states a club will be deducted 10 points if they go bankrupt.
by asking too many question
Usually when you cheat in games
Both teams went into administration and automatically get deducted 10 points.
nice try,
Crawley Town went into administration after spending a load of money on crap players; there was a bidder to save them but Crawley rejected them and thus received the penalty.
Rotherham did something similar, I believe.
Chelsea have a suspended 3 point deduction after tapping up Cashley Cole; that is, if they are found guilty of anything else, the points deduction will come into play. Let's hope they're found guilty of tapping up those Leeds players!
I think you're talking about the goal difference. if they keep losing they're goal difference is for example -3, and the winning team's is 3.
