Athletes shouldnt drink alcohol before taking part in sport why?
i need 2 effects plz why would alcohol effect an athletes performance!
Answers:
it slows down reaction time and unsteadies your balance
Well they wouldn't be able to stay in the lanes for a start!
cause it would be silly
It de-hydrates you
Dehydrates you and adversely affects your physical performance ie lack of co-ordination.
Becasue of Dehydration, if one isn't hydrated they can't performe to the best of thier abilities.
THEY NEED TO RUN STRAIGHT.HAVE YOU EVER TRIED THIS WHEN YOU WERE DRUNK..I DONT THINK YOU WOULD MAKE THE NEXT BUS LET ALONE THE NEXT OLYMPICS
I was in the Army for sometime, and there were many days I was either drunk or massively hung over for out morning runs. The only draw back is either puking or just sweating out the stench of alcohol. It's pretty bad running a six mile run right next to the Battalion Commander reakin of Cinnamon Schnopps! It also kinda dulls the pain in your legs from all the running as long as you're not to inebriated!
Because their balance and judgement would be impaired. Also, alcohol dehydrates you so when you start to sweat you could even collapse from heat stroke or heat exhaustion which could then kill you. I don't know if you're old enough to drink but think about why drinking and driving is illegal? Because your reaction time is affected- same goes with athletes.
erm, because it's difficult to run when you're pissed?
it makes you dehydrated and wants to make you go pee, slows the reaction time, and it messes with your brain. It also slows your breathing rate and is a DEPRESSANT, and so i'm guessing that if you run and you're on a depressant, the things aren't going to mix very well
If you drink beer, you'll be hydrated. If you drink hard liquor, you'll have dehydration of the muscle tissue and cramp. Reflexes, stability and thought process will be diminished. The player will not be able to perform at the best of their ability which could lead to injury of yourself or others.
Alcohol dehydrates the body and also is a depressant that will slow the body's reaction time.
AN INTOXICATED PITCHER THROWING A BASEBALL AT 80+ MPH WOULD BE EXTREMELY DANGEROUS.
THE OBVIOUS WOULD BE A RACE CAR DRIVER.
First alcohol makes you less alert, second coordination in any sport you need both. You could put yourself and your team-mates at risk for serious injury.
Is this a serious question or are you joking? I mean i have seen some dumb questions on here but this one is just retarded.
