How is it that it takes just one match to start a forest fire but a whole matchbox to start a camp fire?

love your question!!=)
You need kindling and paper. Matches alone won't do the job.

HaHa! Good question! I have never really thought about it.
How do you know it only takes one match..do you live in Sydney by any chance.I hope some bright spark will answer your question lol
watch ray mears that dude dont need any matches to start a fire.
Lots of forest fires fail to start with one match. If 90% of the matches (or cigarettes, or whatever) burn out without starting a fire, you never hear about them. You only hear about the minority that start the fires. With a campfire, you notice every match you use.

no justice in life is there?
Ha ha, I've always thought that myself, it's like my roll-ups keep going out and I have to relight them, but if I threw one in the bin it'd catch the bin on fire and burn the house down!
