What brand of Golf ball is best for distance and control?
Answers:
Most Titleist balls (Pro V1x, PTS So-Lo, NXT Tour) will give you all the distance and control needed. Callaway balls are renowned for being harder and therefore may increase distance off the tee, but reduce control around the green.
I personally feel that Srixon and Nike are good golf balls, but still come second to a Titleist. Pro's have individual sponsors for their balls so tend to use the balls they prefer.
dunlop all the way man..
Don't buy golf balls!!! Over 2,500,000,000 golf balls are lost around the world each year. They are full of things like petrolium, gas and their exterior is pp plastic. These things are like ticking time bombs poluting our enviroment and endangering any little animals that may be unfortunate enough to eat the lost property of some crappy golfer.
nike sp.soft feel golf ball.i found them great,he's not tiger woods,i am!!
All the major ball brands make one or more tour level balls which provide distance and control, but there is a bit of a trade off between the two. It really depends on your style of play which ball is best for you.
The Titleist ProV1 is the most popular ball on the PGA tour but that could be due to players having to use what their sponsor makes.
I heard that Bridgestone make possibly the best golf balls.
Mojos work pertty well (by Nike) and Top Flights also work pretty well, really there is not much difference between the top brand golf balls.
As I understand it, there are limits on how far a ball is allowed to go. But most pros use something like Titleist Pro V1x, so they'll be close to best, and Tiger of course uses the Nike One Platinum.
The Top Flites give you a better control of the ball, but I think Dunlops go further,so it all depends on what you want ,distance or direction.
Little animals eat golf balls? Boy I learn something knew everyday.
I just found A Srixon soft feel ball the other day and like the way it plays. Other than that I like pro v ones and precept balls.
the one that you hit the best
The titelist DT SO-LO. It feels great coming off the club and gives good control. If you're somewhat of a hacker like I am this is the ball for you. There's no sense paying for the professional grade like the ProV1 when our game doesn't rate it. The one I can't hit is a Top-flight. (I call it a rock flight). It feels like you're hitting rocks off the fairway.
top flite xl3000 - super spin, these will give you a lot of distance however, u will also get a little bit of spin and stop on the greens!
I think a lot of it is about which ball you feel most comfortable and confident playing with. For instance, I can't hit Titleist golf balls properly because I don't like the logo (I know that sounds weird - but I use the logo for lining up my shot). I've recently started using Srixon and they're the nicest ball I've hit for a long time.
