Genuine question from an English guy. Do Celtic and Rangers fans shelve their differences when Scotland play?

Answers:
Youll find tha the majority of Cetlic and Rangers fans only have differences when they play each other. You will see quite a few supporters of both side hanging around with each other. It is quite normal to see someone wearing a Celtic shirt with someone wearing a Rangers shirt. So yes you will find that they unite when Scotland play
Some do, however Celtic fans tend to like Rep of Ireland more than Scotland.

The religion I'm afraid. I watched Scot v France and England v fyc Macedonia at same time in sports club.

As Scotland scored three Scottish guys (Celtic Fans) told me the Rep of Ireland score as if I would be interested.

I'm am closer to England than Rep of Ireland. I have close English family, I don't know anybody from Ireland and they probably don't either. Celtic fans are happy to see England beat.

Rangers fans however owe a lot to England players like Chris woods, Terry Butcher, Trevor Stevens etc etc. Rangers are also referred to as the queens 11.

Celtic was founded by Priests to help poverty stricken Glaswegian or at least that was the front for pedo behavior (fact).

Rangers originally were a rowing club which were wealthy.

Celtic are knows as the beggars. Rangers are known as the People.

You can tell I'm slightly biased however I tell no lies.
yes, they come together to support Scotland - but they actually form an even stronger bond when they are watching England play ANYONE. Guaranteed they all support th eother team and the solidairty is impressive. Thats the way it is.
You are more likely to meet an Arbroath or Brechin City fan at Scotland matches than the sort that attend Celtic's and Rangers' matches.
Take away the seething hatred that fuels both these clubs and they are lost.
Scotland fans are upbeat and positive, Old Firm (Celtic and Rangers) fans are predominantly ugly people with nothing else in their lives.
Have a look at the Scottish Football section to see the sub-species that dwells there.
Scotland fans are philosophical.
Old Firm oafs are psychopaths.
There may be a few decent ones among them and at fifty years of age I live in hope that one day I will meet one.
As a Celtic supporter (and not an oaflike one) I support whomever wears the Scotland shirt. How can you not? As far as those who say Celtic supporters are more interested in Ireland's results that is a stereotype. I find Ireland boring as any side west of Norway. Sorry, Irish roots are fine but I'd sooner cheer for Nakamura's Japan than Ireland.
I enjoy seeing Scotland do well, and will happily cheer them on. As far as Rep of Ireland , I also like to see them win as i have family and friends who are Irish. I of course hope Celtic players do well for what ever country they play for. I enjoy seeing England beaten, this is not personal,it is down to the annoying arrogant english media. jason g interested to know what paedo (facts) are, and have a look at Celtic & rangers balance sheets, who did you say were the beggars??
I support Celtic and Republic of Ireland. And if Scotland win that is good to, mind you it usually takes a Celtic player to score the winning goal.
And don't you rangers fans dare judge me you do not know me . I could be Irish, Scottish, English or perhaps even Italian.
Celtic support Rep of Ireland Rangers mainly support Engerland strange both teams want out of Scotland I and many others wish they would just PISS OF
No
Yep, weird it seems, Rangers have won Scottish cups at Celtic Park and vice versa, when Hampden under redevelopment. But, for a week of Scotland football, wherever the game, they are all friends, then, next game, they want the other team dropping points (same true of Hearts),
lol iv gotta laugh at what deb says i do suppose sum fans of the old firm may be friends but the way she said it is way off the mark. i dont think she has been in glasgow much( myby she is from glasgow lol ) if a rangers fan with his top on walks thou the east end of glasgow he would be dead likewise celtic in the rangers side.. the amount off trouble in glasgow and not just on match day is murder put it that way in my experience in glasgow anyway. most of the scottish fans come from the north of the country the one's who go to the games anyway.. in my local pub when scotland is playing its strange because in the middle you will have the other clubs who sumtime's dont get on either in one corner you will have the rangers and in the other corner you will have the celtic they dont sit and drink with each other thats for sure if a rangers player score's the celtic fans will celebrate and vise versa but if they make a mistake its rangers c**t. celtic feenin b***t**d if ya get my drift and it can cause a few glass's to be throw'n but in general i suppose they do kinna get on.. but i also suppose its the same down south with there clubs rivalry's. thats how i see it anyway
No.. because the majority of true Celtic supporters know the SFA are bias towards the protestant cause and therefore don't attend national team games. .. paranoid my archie!
i think celtic fans are more interested when Rep of Ireland play. they should all go and live there.
