it depending on your fitness level and stamina level. a pro will do it in about a hour running between 4-5 min miles if you have a good stamina level with good fitness then you should look between 6-8 mins so therefore do it between a 1.5 hrs to 1hr 45mins and if your a average runner set your goal at about 2.5 hrs. the marathon is double the run and people do it in 4-5 hours and its much harder to complete. train by running hills and try to run 26-30 miles a week. it will make the run much easier on the day. also keep hydrated during the main event and you will be ok
all the best. p.s i am a national standard runner so im not lying
I take it you mean acceptable?
Any time will be good as long as you finish it. If you are being sponsored then it doesnt matter what time you run it in because you will get your money to give to good causes.
Well, most people can do a mile in 12 minutes, I would say if you have been practicing and are in shape (at least a bit) you could do 8 - 10 minute miles to set a good pace.
Good luck.
