New York Golf as far as retail outlets. JTK golf in San Jose CA as far as fitting and specialty shops. Owned and run by an 75 year old golf master and club builder who was trained by Harvey Penwick.
i think American golf discount is a really good shop, however if you go to a golf club pro shop they would give you deals on clubs so you can get a better deal on them. the shops in Scotland are out of this world as they have the most choice.
Silvermere GC in Cobham, Surrey. It has the largest pro-shop I've ever been in with great deals on equipment and clothing for both men and women.

Most of the newer shops have test bays to try out equipment. The one I went to had a computer system that measured club length, flex, grip, blade angle, etc and adjustments were made to my clubs free of charge before I was allowed out on the course with them!
