Is it legal to camp in Snowdonia National Park?
I was wondering if it was legal to camp wherever we want to in Snowdonia or if you have to stay in a camp site?

Think so.. it's a national park
If its a national park you probably can't camp where ever you like
No you can`t. Although I`ve done it loads of times. Best time is bank holiday weekends. Park wardens are not on duty. Where ever you go just try and be quiet and don`t make a huge bonfire or you`ll get a visit from a very pissed off warden who thought he`d got the weekend off. Go to Betwsy-coed up by swallow falls you should be ok. Some nice fish in the river too.
If you don't want to worry about being moved on, arrange with the authorities first. I wanted to stay in a bothy in a remote part of the Galloway Forest Park, but drive to it on Forestry Commision roads, which are gated and locked. For some reason I never went, but they were happy to unlock the gates for us to use the road. If you ask and do things by the book, they'll ask you to abide by certain rules, and help where they can. They are guardians of these beauty spots not guards.
