Ware can i get the keepable size limits for fish?

most states have a fish and game web site that will list a stoking program ,it will list the species ,the size, and amount of fish to be released .
a digfish is cool. Keep it and feed your cat to it, that'll be a sight for sore eyes
Call your fish and game rangers. they should be listed in your yellow book under the "state" government section at the front of the book.

Now, here are the rules from the province of Quebec, Canada. I live in Montreal, so these are the only ones I have, but I suppose the rules are about the same everywhere in North America.

Get in touch with the State Parks and Wildlife Dept. for your area. They will gladly send you a brochure with limits for each species.
Most baitshops also provide these brochures for the asking.
Got to be the local tackle shop, Although its quite easy realy. Small pout and whiting are so skinny , they need to be a foot long before there worth taking, as for the better stuff, if it looks like they will easily cover your plate, and some. Get em in the oven. I know bass have to be 41 cm, but the big ones should be put back, as a bass wont breed until its very large and about 5 years old minimum. So by taking large ones, you actually remove the fish that will make your next batch of fish.
