Who really deserves to win the world cup, France or Italy?

i like france better and they deserved it because of the good players they have on their team and their scores from previous games in the cup.

I agree England was robbed, we have the FA keeping that Swede as manager to blame.
But between France and Italy, i take France. They played very well and unlike the Italians, were not content just to sit back in front of goal. They attacked and made good plays and eventually beat Brazil, Spain, and others. Thats nothing against Italy, but France was much better to watch.
When is this going to end, we know Italy won just stop posting these questions all the time.

Neither of them deserved to be in final at first place. There were more deserving teams like Argentina, Brazil, Portugal, and England.
Among France and Italy, Italy was slightly more better team than France in the world cup, they palyed better football. 10 of their players scored in world cup. So overall Italy deserved more than France, but was not most deserving team.

i think italy earned what they got. a lot of ppl say they are cheaters and they don't deserve their win, but in life, everyone cheats or makes some kind of mistake or something, so who are we to blame them for anything they did? other teams in the WC had divers, italy had divers, france had divers, so we can't just put the blame on italy alone. i thought both teams played excellent in the final, italy just played a little better.
France, because Materazzi provoked Zidane to headbutt him and I think that if Zidane didn't do the headbutt France would have won (in other words Materazzi said such a mean thing that Zidane could'nt stop himself from headbutting Materazzi and I think that if Zidane wasn't sent off France would have won).

France . Italy seemed a bit smug that they won. And Materazzi mocked Zidane which made Zidane go off on his last match. It's pretty sad. Also, many Australians believe that Australia could have went further into the World Cup, after a constroversial penalty goal from Italy. Besides, I like France anyways!
Please, these questions really are getting old. We've already been asked that same question repeatedly for a very long time.
Italy definitely deserved to win, because:
a) they were stronger (had more talented players)
b) they actually worked as a team
c) they played fairly, excluding the headbutt incident, but even then, Materazzi shouldn't have accepted all of the blame
and, last but not least,
d) for heaven's sakes, any team deserves to win when they have a higher score than their opponent!
