If i am walking on golf course and find lost ball, does it belong 2 me?
Answers:
an attorney's opinion: if you find any lost item, including a golf ball, the owner of the ball is entitled to recovery unless the owner disposed of it. if the owner threw the ball away, anyone could take it and claim ownership. however, if the ball was lost unintentionally, the owner could reclaim the ball. for example, if you find a lost ball in the rough and a minute later the owner comes over looking for it, he has a right to get that ball back regardless of whether it was lost and you found it.
sure, why not. i wouldn't waste time going around asking anyone if they lost their golf ball.
yes
Why not! As long as people aren't playing at the time!
As long as it isn't 'in play', then I think it is generally accepted that you can keep the ball!
No there is a law called stealing by finding so it is not yours. So can i have my ball back please!!
It's mine....
only if it belongs to you in the first place. golf courses have had many successful persecutions, ie, a local scuba club cleared teh lake and were done for theft. its golf course land.
yes...unless they are found in a pair....and hooked to someone. then they would be someone elses.
hope this clears it all up for you.
If nobody claims it in 30 days, it's yours! (Just Kidding!)

Have a great round!
Finders keepers, losers weepers!
Just make sure it's really lost and that the poor guy isn't left looking for the ball he just drove 280yds! (Or hide in the bushes and giggle while you watch him look!)
every1 does it so why not
Yes. The caddy's have claim to all lost balls and the rule is that if you get a ball before the caddy then you have got one for the players. Most caddy's hide balls away or sell them later. So don't sweat it. All clubs allow for this rule as they feel the same about caddy's.
I think yes, but only if you're sure its lost. Make sure someone isn't still playing their game.
No If it could be in play. How do you know its not in play?
yes. there's an unwritten rule: everytime you lose a ball, you can pick one up because somebody else will find yours. however, it's generally bad manners to hack your way through the bush and collect balls, although one time i did find enough to cover the greens fees. :)
Make sure you look around and make sure that no one is looking for it and be pretty sure it's not in play. If you've verified these, why not?
if it does not have some ones name on it then yes unless you enter the premises with out permission
Yeh, sure.My golf coach told me that in golf "Finders are Keepers"
No no no! A terrible faux pas.. hand it in at the Golf House Reception -they'll be extremely grateful.
Sell them to the pro shop.
Be careful that some golfer on the course isn't looking for the same ball.
I keep every ball I find while golfing.
Don't see why it wouldn't. unless of course you look up and notice a golfer or 2 running at you with clubs raised looking quite upset, other than that though I'd take it.
y were u walkin on a golf course .n dont u hav ur own balls...neways yeah finders keeper
no but if u take it, it does then
Why not? My brother gets a lot of his balls that way
technically NO
Identify it first. then see if anyone else around you is looking for a ball. if not, its yours.
No and no.
Its a question of integrity: If you found a golf club walking off the course, or a wallet, would it belong to you? I would hope not.
A golf ball would be no different.
More times than not that ball is in play for somebody. If you pick it up they can NEVER find it, resulting in a 2 stroke penalty.
If anyone tells you YES they do not respect the game the way it is suppose to be played. And then where would it end? We'd be picking up EVERYBODY'S ball.
According to the USGA, golf is played, for the most part, without the supervision of a referee or umpire. The game relies on the integrity of the individual to show consideration for other players and to abide by the Rules. All players should conduct themselves in a disciplined manner, demonstrating courtesy and sportsmanship at all times, irrespective of how competitive they maybe. This is the spirit of the game of golf.
Sorry, I know its not the answer you want.
if its like in the middle of the fairway and there are peole around then no. but if its like on the edge of a pond or in bushes then its yours. just know if there are people around and if theycould have put it there. have fun golfing
YES i have found many balls that way including some titlest pro v1's just make sure no one around you could of hit a ball in that direction, if your clear, just stick it in your bag!
That's the best part!
since it's a lost ball, it means the owner of the ball is also lost to the ball, so it's your choice to have it or not.
