World cup question - really hard! prove it!?
have just asked this, now i am asking you to prove it!
uraguay were 1st world champions, if the next team to beat them in any match became world cup holders, the next team to beat that team became holders and so on and so on, who would be champions now? i know it was angola a few years ago..

At first I thought this was a silly joke by you, probably because you were bored.
Of course the whole idea of 'passing the baton' is improbable and pointless. Eg: Croatia were the first team to beat Italy after the World Cup, so they would be World Champions according to your scenario.
Then I glanced at Mike's answer and thereafter perused the website he recommended. To my horror, I discovered that such a thing does exist, and has been going on for sometime. I then recalled how Scotland claimed themselves to be the Unofficial World Champions, after they became the first team to beat then World Champions England in 1967.
So goodonya mate and give Mike his 10pts for the correct answer.

i'm going by the world cup matches because they decide the world champion, friendlies don't.and qualifying just does that,
gets you to the world cup
the unofficial championship concept didn't come until after scotland beat england and that was 94 years after england first won it... it's like rewriting history

then why have a world cup to decide the whole thing?
A team first has to be champion, it is reasonable that uruguay has not been champions, why because of their institution.
