Why do west Ham fans sing " I'm forever blowing bubbles "?
Answers:
In 1927, an advertising campaign appeared for soap. It featured a curly haired child blowing soap bubbles, who was likened to one of the West Ham players. This young gifted player was called Billy J. "Bubbles" Murray, so called because of his distinct and almost uncanny resemblance to the boy in the famous painting by Millais entitled "Bubbles". The song stuck with the fans when "Bubbles" made it to, and stayed in the first team for many years.
This unlikely imagery provided the Hammers with their club anthem, which is roared by supporters several times during the course of a game.
The lyrics are as follows:
I'm forever blowing bubbles
Pretty bubbles in the air
They fly so high, nearly reach the sky
And like my dreams, they fade and die
Fortune's always hiding
I've looked everywhere
I'm forever blowing bubbles
Pretty bubbles in the air!
As a tribute to West Ham, the punk rock band the Cockney Rejects covered the song in 1980.
I think its from a 1930's gangster film
cause they are stoopid . oooops sorry!
Because the words are not to difficult
they eat alot and fart
who cares they talk chuff how can u tell which is there bum and which is their mouth
No idea, but I have my own version.
I'm forever blowing bubbles
Pretty bubbles in the air
They fly so high
Nearly reach the sky
Then like West Ham they fade and die
Fortune always finds us
When we're playing there
I'm forever blowing bubbles
Pretty bubbles in the air
Sorry. I got carried away. :-) Oooops!

They're forever blowing 3 pts so they may as well go the whole hog and blow some bubbles.
Michael Jackson said it was his favourite pastime
