The colour of skin is really important???

why spectators do that with eto'o last night after scoring a goal?

Answers:
Colour of skin should not be important but you try telling that to a white man when surrounded by a gang of Black youths (Or vice versa). If a guy or gal is black then they are black. They may be brown but white people are normally a pinky colour so what's it all about? Why do some people take offence at the term "black man". It is no worse than the term "white man".
What is important is how you live your life and interact with others.

However, making monkey noises at a black person is unacceptable in any civilised society. Then-again, beating the crap out of someone in retaliation for making monkey noises is also unacceptable. Not that anyone did, I'm just making a point.

People who see racism at every corner and use it to try to get what they want need sorting out. Most people who complain about racism are nosey by-standers who think they are doing good, but ultimately are driving a bigger divide between different groups. I.e. The winterval fiasco a few years back in Birmingham. Used instead of Christmas so as to not offend any non-christian faiths. completely ignoring Christians feelings in a predominantly Christian country altogether..

Crazy isn't it....

Also, many of our so called football hooligans are much more behaved when it comes to racist issues these days. Many other countries have far far worse hooligans with ethnic hate in their eyes than we have. It always seems to get blamed on the English fans though. Also when it kicks off and most of it is started or instigated by the thugs from whatever country we are playing in but the English always gets blamed. scapegoats I guess.

I always judge a person by how they react with me, as there are scumbags in any race.... as well as good people.

No
wad did they do? plsssss temme.. i think he must leve the club if it is offensive.
its used to quickly identify someone if their are 10 people all white but one who is black so much easier to say the black guy then describing what he is wearing
color doesnt matter.
Eto'o is a badass and they were just jealous
It shouldn't be but it seems to be especially with some people in this forum.
WHat did they do this time?
Eto'o is wasting talent and energy doing so well for a club whose fans are too thick to look beyond the color of his skin.
It's not about the skincolor, its about what he brings to the team and all Catalonians. But seems they can't get it. Pieces of sh**e
i don't know what r u talking about
Well, some Spanish fans (they imitated monkey chants whenever any English Blacks from the U21 team touched the ball), some German fans (they post life-threats to some talented Blacks and Turks to not represent Germany in 2006 WC), and some Italian fans (I remembered how they treated their own non-Italian players (especially Blacks like Thuram) do.
Spain seems to have a racism problem: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football.
I guess it depends on where you live and the strength of the 'rules' that govern your community. There are some circumstances where getting the colour wrong can result in death.
who's eto'o? and what a silly name.
Thanks for that Graham.you took the words out of this Latino's mouth and appreciate your true statements.go with this answer/comments! I usually try to out-talk and out-do even myself but you take this one my friend. Best answer here. The Truth!
it is to an extent. refs and other officials are partial. even the fans. y do you think there are so many campaigns to "kick racism out of football" "give racism the red card" and "eracism". its all a facade to say that football's fair. there have been books about how fifa rigs stuff. so in a manner of speaking skin colour is important but to a minimal level.
In Black n white everyone's a hero.
(apart from Titus Bramble)
Not at all.
the people who posted death threats to black german players before the 2006 world cup were not fans, they were neo nazis who were trying to use the occasion to draw attention to themselves. us fans know what we have in asamoah, odonkor and - don't forget him - owomoyela, and we don't care which colour someone is anyway as long as he kicks the ball in the right direction. the racist taunts against eto'o last night were of course totally inacceptable, but they still happen in a lot of stadiums. i guess the reason for such behaviour is quite simple - fans see it as their duty to annoy and distract the opposing team, and for that they use taunts. as racist taunts are more offensive and therefore potentially more distracting for the opponent, they use them. it's not nice, and i really hope santander get into trouble with the lfp for it so they clamp down on that kind of behaviour.
ya i hate it when people deffrentiate between players because of colour..i mean football is meant to bring us together.regardless of the colour of complextion and race.and eto'o is a great scorer and player
One thing I love about football is the "general" lack of barriers. I've played with guys from England, Mexico, Germany, France, Argentina, Canada, Jamaica, Iran, Lebanon, Syria, Netherlands, Russia, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, . . Players and fans who love the sport respect anyone who loves the sport and plays well.

The idiots with the monkey chants are a vocal minoriy. Some nations like Spain need to get their act together. Eto'o is top class. He deserves respect. They ought to make the idiots where monkey suits if they want to see any more matches.
niggas are stupid
I didn't see that.but I think color of skin isn't important...SAY NO TO RACISM!!!NO RACISM,NO RACISM,NO RACISM!!
IGNORANCE!!
i hope ozzy didn't mean what he said
Clearly some countries ( the people really) are still living in the 1930's. colour of skin isn't important. i don't think looks matter that much either, but however some people still judge us on these, and i think we all do react in some way to skin colour and looks, but that doesn't have to be racist chanting or treating people unfairly. I think that kind of thing that happened to Eto'o will come to an end one, day the sooner the better.
for me,no!
Of course it doesn't mater!
