Quite simply, in my humble opinion, no.
No, but he come a close second to Peter Beardsley in "Ugliest Players Ever"
Greatest Southampton no. 7 - probably. but as for the greatest ever there were many better players.
to all southampton fans i'm sure he is, fair play to the lad he was very loyal and did amazing season after season keeping the saints in the prem!
but he was never anywhere near being the best player in the world, i'm sure some of his goals will rate amongst the greatest ever goals tho, i remember the 2 v newcastle at the dell and the long ranger v blackburn at ewood past tim flowers!
fitting that he scored the last goal ever at the dell and that wasn't a bad strike either v arsenal

who is matt le tiss?
No idea what the French footy connection is other than maybe you think his name has some hold on La Ligue. Le Tissier was one of those talented guys the English selectors stuck in the past just could never fidn time for.
He is not greater than Pele and probably not even in the Top 20 of English players all-time but he was good.
no
