What is the standard loft of a pitching wedge bought with a full set of irons?
Answers:
Usually depending on the make its between 48-52 degrees!
It do depend on the set. My Mizuno set comes with a 48 degree pitching wedge. With a sand wedge of 56 degrees, I have also invested in a gap wedge at 52 degrees.
You can check the manufacturer's website for the specifications, or measure the angle yourself.
50 degree
48 degrees
Today there is no standard loft for a pitching wedge. Each wedge is manufacturer specific. 46 degrees would be about average, other pitching wedges are plus or minus 2 degrees. When we get to 50+ degrees we are talking Gap or Utility wedge.
48 degrees. Many manufacturers and players deloft their clubs by up to 4 degrees to get more distance.
they are 48 degrees but you can have them bent to whatever loft you want i personally prefer a 50 degree pw and a 54 sw and a 60 lw
