Do you sweat when you swim? As surely water would naturally cool you body down!?

Answers:
Yes you do swimming is incredibly good cardiovascular excersice which will make you sweat you only don't notice it because you are in the water. The water will go some way to cooling you down but the heat comes from within when you are excersizing, you sweat when you ski and yet are surounded by snow!
you would not notice it when in the water but yes you would do.
u dont sweat cos water does cool u down.
DEPENDS ON HOW HOT THE SUN IS AND IF IT IS BEAMING DOWN ON YOU YOUR FACE COULD SWEAT OR IF YOU ARE OUT OF THE WATER YOU WILL SWEAT YES IT IS POSSIBLE
Oh yes, do we ever sweat. It's very horrible when you're in a single pool with a swimming class of about thirty-forty other teenagers. You don't ever need to ask this question in your life after you experience THAT.
I'm not expert on why, but I think it might be because when you're swimming, your body is producing heat, and although the water could cool you down, I would think a byproduct of producing heat would still be sweat. That's just my guess for now, though.
Yes and unlike the others( so far ) I do notice it on my face.
Not so much doing a crawl because your face is in the water a lot of the time but breast stroke and back stroke I do notice it and my face gets hot also.

You can probably tell by this I am not competitive swimmer just recreational - nothing worse that a sweaty swimmer...lol
you can't tell in water but yes you do sweat when you swim, it has nothing to do with water temp.
Your swimming which is a form of exercise so your burning calories and working out. naturally your going to sweat.

Your question is like asking: If I've been running for 3 miles ( your sweating) and it starts raining am I still going to be sweating the remander of my run?

The famous phrase of Homer Simpson "D'OH!"
You've been watching that education ad on TV again....... CAUGHT !!!
no you do not sweat while swimming!
but after swimming if u don't dry up your body well then it may result in many skin diseases!
Yes, in addition to sweating, swimming pool water dehydrates the body through osmosis. The added chemicals dilute the water to the point that water leaves the body even faster than if you were just sweating. Because of this drink a LOT of water. It is NOT fun for a lifeguard to drag your severely dehydrated body to the medic, hospital or have to call an ambulance. BTW add a pinch of salt to water if you get severely dehydrated, then drink slowly but a lot. NOTE: only a pinch of salt. Also, it depends on the temperature of the water
Yes you do sweat, if your really working out and not just lounging in the pool. Phoenix14 is right. Drink LOTS of water. Swimming is one of the best cardio excercises next to jumping rope cause you use your legs and your arms. Keep a bottle at the end of the pool.
everybody sweats when they exercise.
