Why don't UK Indians/Pakistanis/Bangla. EVER play football.?

There are millions of "Indian" Asians in the UK - probably more than there are blacks - yet I honestly can't recall a single one who - EVER - played for a professional football club in this country.!
There are hundreds of great black players - so it can't be down to colour prejudice.
I think it's because "Indian" Asians are largely snobbish. They like to pick and choose (or their parents do.!) what they believe to be the most socially prestigious or secure money-making jobs and are conditioned from birth to steer well clear of any other career choices.

cos everytime they get a corner, they put a shop on it.

Just a joke...
YOU ARE RIGHT OF COURSE ANYWAY ITS A LOVELY GAME LETS KEEP IT LIKE THAT
cos they dont
No no! It is because cricket already takes too much of their lives, even if they only participate from the couch.
coz every time they get a corner, they build a shop on it!!!xx
I live in the oldham area and being a taxi driver i see lots of Asians/Indians/Pakistanis/Beng. playing football all the some of them are quite good. They also use the local sports centre
truth hurts heres the truth
first of all i agree there r hordes of indians in england
foot ball isnt just a u know childhood sport ....sure now its gaining populariity but in india cricket comes first u will see that earlier india wasnt much on the sport map coz we r too engrossed in cricket evn though our national sport is hockey but we care more abt cricket
and that is in the genes
more over if u look at the cricket academies in britain i m sure u will find indians signing up
yeh now the sport football etc r also coming up
and for ur information they r leat snobbish ppl there is pure prejudice coz evry brown skinned man now is seen as a paki hell there r somthing called indian too secure jobe they do want but now they r gng for unconventional ones too
there r a lot of blacks
b4 u guys gave priority to the whites and not the blacka slowly the blacks came up too now its with the indians
dont know but i think that they should take part and become well known indians or whateva.
we need more indian/bengali role models because most indians shy away from fame unlike evryone else and stick to being traditional whatevas.
yeah btw all you pplz that said that crap corner joke , I DONT SEE YOU OWNING A SHOP! EVEN ON A CORNER SO AT LEAST THEY OWN SOMETING UNLIKE YOU LOT WHO GO TO CAR BOOT SALES.! LOL

ITS JUST A JOKE....HA
ok, so UK Indians/Pakistanis/Bangladeshi. may not be in any well known team but I will say I always see Asians in England shirts supporting this country. To say Indians are largely snobbish is quite a sweeping statement, but maybe culture does come into it somewhere. Cricket does seem to be their sport, just as football is ours. If you go to India or any other Asian country you will see someone playing football and alot of them will be a fan of footballers in any team over here, which is always nice to see
they do but they dony integrate, there is a team in Brum called the Sikh hunters, they are good apparently but only sikhs in the team.
cos every time they get a corner they open a shop on it
because they cant!!!
I AM AN INDIAN, I LIVE IN ABU DHABI, UAE, N I DO PLAY FOOTBALL IN THIS HARSH CLIMATE!!
A few do play. Zesh Rehman has played in the Premier League. There needs to be some more to give a lead and example for youngesters.
Football is all about money, if any asian players are good enough and can help a team they play. If they are not good enough they dont play, simple as that. ( same for everybody ).
coz they play cricket! and Indians DOMINATE in cricket!!
I believe it's down to culture: like in most parts of Asia (including China, Japan, South Korea, etc.) education comes first for most parents. Those cultural traits become even stronger when Asian people in general (not only people coming from the sub-Indian continent) emigrate to another country - the parents then feel an even stronger need for their kids to do well in school and go to university and eventually get a "proper" job, i.e. in an office, as a doctor, as a lawyer, as a banker, etc.
Because of the family values and ties in Asian cultures, the parents usually get their way into "forcing" their kids to study instead of "wasting their time on the sports field".
So even if some Asian kids play football at school, they wouldn't see it as a goal to achieve to become a professional football player
