What is the average pay for a new professional cricketer in England?
Answers:
I get paid £110 a game
A new player probably won't get much more than minimum wage, but if they can prove themselves to be a regular, then their pay will shoot up to about £40K quite quickly with various sponsorship options etc.
There are all levels of pros - a decent county pro would make about £40k per year.
Those at clubs can make £20k in a short season for a few games - foreign pros can get £40k a season playing for teams in the Lancashire leagues.
At the bottom end of the scale - from £20k for a junior contracted county cricketer or maybe £50 a game for a club pro - sometimes just a collection if they get a 50 or a five-for!
I believe the central contract players are on £250k.
