To football fans?

When your team is not playing well or losing repeatedly, why is it that most fans suddenly decide that the only reason is the team not having enough 'passion'. There ARE other reasons such as your team not being good enough against the opposition or the manager or it just wasn't your day. everytime i hear people say 'he is not showing passion'. Do they actually think the player goes on the field intending to lose? Mind you, there are some players who don't seem to try but i would like to think that most players have professional pride.

your bang on with that one mate, theres to many people say that and its crap,i am a Dundee united supporter and my team have won just twice in 27 games, but not once have i heard or read that they are not showing passion,or dont want to win,we all know there just not good enough.
Never heard that excuse before! I always say, "we deserved to lose", but then I am English and that's our way!
even the greatest teams cvan go on losing streaks no matter what the ability of the players, teams such as Barcelona, Real Madrid and Arsenal have all had some pretty bad patches. Not one of them is lacking in the skill department. Being told that the team lacks passion is another way of saying they are not willing to fight for the team, if things go wrong then certain players hide, try not to get involved as much as if they were winning, part of this is due to a lack of confidence in the players who start doubting their abilities and it has to be said with 20 000 people booing you and telling you to f**k off ever week I'd be hiding too. But the only way to pull back is to dig deep and win ugly, sometimes it's not al about smooth fast flowing football, but about just getting stuck in, tackle and chase everything and never give up. That's passion!!
I agree totally. Certain football pundits in particular use the word once a sentence, they think the players have just rolled out of bed or something. That is all we hear when we get knocked out of world cups, but im sure the england team has enough passion as any other. We're just not that good
PASSION..I think that is an excuse the Managers who have failed gave and finally transfered to the Fans. What is it anyway?
i can admit when man u have played bad. sometimes it just doesn't click, the passing, the final ball, the finish. at the moment arsenal are playing the best football in the premiership. i'm sick of hearing managers and fans blame the ref, international duty, the player's position and other nonsense. sometimes your team just plays crap. accept it.
AC Milan hasn't been doing too great lately, and it's not because we lack "passion" but simply because we're not good enough. We don't have a good striker, we don't have the solid defense that we used to. But we are always passionate.
These Situations start to show the true suporters of your club - the team i support - Radcliffe Borough - are currently 20th/22 in the Unibond Premierleague and we got knocked out the FSA Cup 1st round , so i feel a lot of pain , but wont leave as the experiance is pretty good
if you have passion towards the game you have desire to win. It will come down to on who wants it more. People have this uncanny feeling that if you want something badly enough you would get it.
I wouldn't know, we're always playing well and seldom lose lol
Yes I agree with you.
i support the reds liverpool always want to win no matter what just bad luck goes against you sometimes nobody wants to lose
