Is it normal to be nervouse before a rugby match?

Answers:
turn fear into fire my friend!!
yeah unless you like ending up in hospital
i would because i would be worried of getting serious injuries before every game.
probably...if you are about to get killed with about 30 people hauling themselves on top of you and the pressure of winning or loseing, i'd say YES!!
Nerves before any type of performance are normal. Jump up and down, punch the air a few times and turn the adrenaline into positive energy.

If you get nervous before watching a rugby match, you must be a Scotland fan.
No - terrified is normal. lol
if your a girl, playing with guys. yes
Perfectly normal, its all part of the 'Fight or Flight' impulse in the body! When you are gearing up for something which makes you nervous (ie a match, fight etc) the body makes your heart beat faster to [pump more blood around your body, sending it to all your muscles and fibres, ready for you to Fight or take flight. Its the body's natural response to a fearful situation.
People have Panic attacks when this happens when not in danger. Clever huh?!
yer sure that's perfectly normal. I played football rugby and tennis and be for each of those different sports i get very nervous so dint worry ask your team mates and I'm sure they feel the same.
yeah id be !
yes sometimes - it varies from time to time and is dependant on fitness, importance of the game, opposition, team mates and other factors. Sometimes you can feel like a monster and have no fears other times you fear making - an error and letting the team down - all these fears should end when the game starts but they can make you nervous before hand.
Oh Yes!
don't worry. It's normal.Unless if u get use to it your nervous will starts to fade. But nervous ia normal to everyone.Sometimes nervous make u better.
Yes, I think it is completely normal. When I used to play I would get really worked up. I think it is because the adrenalin and sheer thought of going on is quite nerve-racking and honestly it is quite a dangerous game and you want to impress your team and not muck up. But anyway it is totally normal, but don't let it put you off, it is the best sport on the planet!
Peace

nervous energy is a good thing gets you focused
nervouse about what?winning losing or generally getting your head kicked in
Yeah Sure , last week only I played a match and i was so nervous that i could feel it in my stomach , but once you get the first tackle you will be in the mood for the kill ,
P.S . sometimes its better to start at the substitutes bench first you get excited seeing your friends playing , then you get the adrenaline pumped through your body , and ready to crash through the lines .
perfetly normal iv been playing for 11years and i still get nervouuse it good for the game it keeps you on your toes
Of course it is, but don't let it worry you. As soon as it starts to get to you, that's when it begins to affect your game and how well your going to play. I always get nervous before playing, but as soon as we all get onto the pitch, get into the huddle and do a quick loud squeeze, the mind automatically gets into game mode, and i get ready for the match. Also, if you get a good tackle in, or break the line within the first few minutes of the game, the nerves will begin to go away and you'll be able to play the game without any worries.
Different people react in different ways. I was always nervous before a game and an old rugby mate had to throw up before a game to be able to play optimally.
If i were you i'd research your anxiety levels via a SCAT (Sports Competitive Anxiety Test) or a CSAI 2 (Competitive Sports Anxiety Instrument 2) test. If your score shows high anxiety levels pre-game then look at relaxation techniques - deep breath techniques, music etc. Research Karageorghis, C. for some relaxation techniques.
