Where to take my son to ride his minimoto?
After years of pestering I have finally given in to my son and brought him a Minimoto for Christmas !. Can anyone please let me know how to get him started he hasn't been on one before so he'll need the practise. In the nottingham / derbyshire area's. Thanks

My son took my grandson on one of Asda's big car park's to teach him to ride his. ( after the store had closed ) He did have to get permission from the store manager first.

oh dear.. you cannot use these on any public area. our local coppers have a saying; push it or we'l l crush it.. go ask a farmer, or rich landowner, or find a proper site..
theres one or two in coventry, but its a bit far for you to go.

theres enough of u nutters buying the kids this kind of crap to fill an asylum
When the poor little buggers in the morgue after wrapping the thing round a lampost you will probably be the one blaming the council for putting the lamp there in the first place
you should have just bashed his head of the wall a few times, he will have the same injuries that he will get from crashes less the cost of the machine, if he cried for a gun would you give in and buy it for him.
I suggest you pop along to your local police station and enquire if they know of any clubs in your area. Like someone has already stated they are not be be riden in/on any public place.
I fear FIVETOZE is correct m'dear-police forces up and down the country are crushing these minimoto's ten to the dozen now-VERY dangerous the police think they are-i would check at a police station near you for the facts on these things AND the law on riding them before actually buying one-save you a lot of pennies,AND possible heartache in the long run.I have 6 categories on my licence for 6 different types of vehicles,i enquired at a bike shop(only today!)to ask if i could ride a moped with my categories, and was told by the manager that "if its got wheels and an engine sir-then it needs a licence"!!
Erm...Dont let him use it on any public areas, as the police will crush it and may put pionts on his licence when he gets one. Is there no tracts were u live for them? or local farmers that might let u in a feild for a bit? I have the same problem with me kx250, but i just risk it, NOT SMART!!! LOL!!
