When you train outside of you dojo or dojang do you wear you karate suite or gi?
what do you do when you train eg streches
Answers:
No.
At work when I do a form during break I wear my work clothes. At the gym when I work out I wear my gym clothes. At home I work out in blue jeans.
As a traditionlist I wear a gi for class, but when I grapple or spar after class I usually place the gi top and belt in my locker.
It is important to train in actual clothing, your body movement is different in different clothes such as jeans, winter jackets, with shoes/sneakers on. Most likely if you are forced to defend yourself you will have on "regular" clothes.
usually i just wear sweat pants and a t shirt whenever i do stretching or practice kicks or forms
That all depends on the rules and customs of the dojo, dojng, kwoon or trainig hall where you wish to train. Most of these places are not fussy about the costume guests wear. If you plan to train regularly it may be a different matter.

It is not mandatory to wear your gi when training outside of your dojo, as you do not wear school uniform in order to do homework. However, some people wear their gi when training to help get them into the state of mind or for freedom of movement, as opposed to casual clothes. Your sensei will not worry if you don't wear your gi at home.
I wear basket ball shorts as not to get my gi dirty also i think that your gi should be saved
You don't have to. But some schools think its respectful to do so. For me i just wear normal clothes so i don't get my uniform dirty
Nope
My school has upgrade uniforms for the people in upgrade classes, and my old gi pants still fit me, so when training at home, I usually wear those and a t-shirt.
I never wear my Gi outside the Dojo, or on the way to there either, as I think it might attracts unwanted attention, children mostly calling out, and who's idea was it to wear white to do sport in anyway? How totally impractical, always fear the need to change a car tyre on the way to the dojo as a for instance. Tracky bottoms and t-shirt for home practise. Good luck
Yes, of course. Who are you learning from, huh?
I wear shorts or pants and a t-shirt, or no shirt. When I train I fight. I wear 16oz gloves and headgear to work striking, or 6oz when I grapple. I usually don't strike full force when grappling expecially to the face. Mainly just to work good openings, hand positions and stuff.
The only way to know your techniques work is to fight. People talk about how valuable experience is, but their only experience is dojo training maybe light sparring. Find a partner, maybe someone better than you, and fight.
I actually had several gi's during my training. One thave I wore to class, and ones that I wore when I was trainig outside of class.
sweats and a t shirt
no , real life does not associate with wearing a Gi . i would stretch in normal or loose clothing . whatever i,m wearing at the time .
It depends where you are.If you found yourself wearing regular clothes with some spare time and space, you'd train, right. It helps make training more official to wear uniform though. This sets practice aside from normal life. I wear spare stuff or old for forms in my yard, and save the tidiest for class, out of respect.
