What is the best degree angle to have on a driver in golf?

Answers:
Depends on your swing, best thing you can do is find out when the next demo day is in your area. You can do that by going to the company websites. Hit as many of the drivers you can, trying out the different lofts and shafts. You will know when youfind the right one. MOst people use 9.5 to 10.5
No less than 10 if your a newbie to the game
if your just starting go for about 12, it will help getting the ball in the air, pro's have about 7/8
Whoa, thats a very individual thing. You may need anything between 8.5 and 11 degress. Depends on person to person and club to club. Some have a higher launch than others so a 8.5 of one brand will produce a similar flight to 9.5 of another. Try before you buy is definitely the best advice to offer here.
remember, pick the club, the degree changes each time you swing. think about it

how good are you and how well can you hold the degree of swing.
The only way to properly determine that is to go to your local golf pro, take a couple driving lessons. Let him asess your skill level, your swing type and pattern, and a few other aspects of your drive, and he/she will be able to recommend the perfect driver for your game!

Personally, I LOVE my Adams Spin Control 7.5 degree..Its a TOUGH hitting driver, but now that I know it, i LOVE it like no other club in my bag!
about 100 degrees outside. maybe 90. perfect weather for a driver in golf.
The best degree angle for your driver depends on many factors. One of the main factors is your clubhead speed. A slow speed(90mph or less) should result in an angle of at least 12 degrees. The faster your clubhead speed gets, the lower the angle gets.
Get fitted at your local golfshop. It all depends on your swing style and swing speed.
The degree of a driver depends on multiple areas, such as swing speed and angle of attack (how steeply you swing into the ball, whether it be steep or flat). The best way to find out your perfect loft angle for a driver is to have a professional fitting. There, the golf professional will fit you for the correct driver, ie, the correct shaft and shaft flex, and the correct loft for you. Also the correct lofted driver for a person should yield a trajectory of 11-14 degrees for the greatest distance carry.
Theory about the degree on the driver changed all the time. It use to be very steep; i.e. low in number for pro. Remember Duval hit about 7 degree (and putter is 6 degree usually). Then, it said that the higher loft makes the ball stay in the air longer, therefore your drive goes further.
Now I think it goes back to lower loft again.
So, it's very difficult to follow the 'Technical Experts' on which is best degree for driver anymore (given that you can hit them all).
Say if you are among the world top 100 (those people are the ones that can pretty much hit anything), They hit around 8-9. If you're beginner, pick 10-12. Fairway approaches are much more fun than water hazard, or thick rough, or behind a huge tree, big pieces of rock, in snake hole, behind the loo, and etc..
It's the best swing divided by the best shaft times tempo equals best degree angle of the dangle. Sorry it's so technical!
Hello Steve

The average and new golfers should use a driver with as much loft angle as they can get, usually about 12 degrees. This will give you the most distance and is a lot easier to hit and control then say an 8 degree driver.

Dont fall into the trap of a lower loft driver giving you more distance, its just not true overall.

Talk to the pro at your local golf course about this, they are alway great to help.
