I think your saying whats the best thing to eat before doing spot. depends how long before doing sport, you eat. Day before plenty carbs, pasta, potatoes. Two hours before something very light, sandwich, fruit. Depends
Bananas - full of energy and B vitamins to help use it.
A slice of double cheese, double pepperoni pizza, from Pizza Hut.
Don't eat too much u will feel stick, have a proper meal about 2 hours before (no less or u will be ill) if u need the energy, bananas or jaffa cakes r supposed to be good.
Bananas are good for slow release of energy, but don't eat more than one, eating too much before doin any sort of exercise can upset disgestion, give you wind and make you uncomfortable in general.

I eat a banana, protein bar, and slice of wheat bread w/peanut butter..about 1.5-2hrs before training or "doin' sport" that way you dont feel full and you have time to digest.and you get proteins, vitamin b and carbs all for energy!
Carbs
I would suggest something that will give you a steady energy release, for instance, poridge oats with skimmed or semi-skimmed milk.

You should not eat before doing sport. Your body cannot digest well while you are doing energetic physical exercise. Eat afterwards.
Bananas or oranges just before and drinking something like lucozade is always a good idea

Double bacon, double sausage, double bubble, beans, mushrooms, hash browns and toast all washed down with a big mug of tea.
The night before sporting activity, load up with carbs. Heaps of past, potatoes etc.

On the morning of the event, have a fruit salad, esp with banana, papaya and melon (great sources of vitamins you need to physically perform)

It also helps if you have a sports drink or mineral water that contains electrolites about an hour before, this helps with hydration and aids muscle performance.
