How can I get rid of the Stink on my Outdoor Jacket?
It's made by Keela and is about 5 years old. It's not Goretex but it's something very similar. I wore it hiking up a hill in a torrential downpour then left it in my car boot for a month. Now it stinks.
I've tried febreeze, airing it and washing it in the machine and it still stinks.
Help me!

Burn it
Try washing it in the washer with some baking soda OR vinegar (not both) and then wash it again with plain soap. That might help!

Try having it dry cleaned.
Try putting bi -carbonated soda in the pockets this helps get rid of smells!! Otherwise throw your jacket away!!1
Take it to a dry cleaners they should beable to help ypu. Also you could hang it up and leave it out on the rain and sun {It will fade the color} for a week or so and see if that helps.
get rid of it and buy a new one
leave it out in the rain till its soaked, then put it straght in the washing machine (cool wash)
try the odor remover detergent that hunters use on their clothes before they go out.
this is a true story, we went camping with our dog, a chow and they have long really furry hair, well she took off after a skunk and the skunk won, and i mean really close up dripping won, not wanting to put her in the car with us for the drive home we only had one thing to try and that was pert plus shampoo we had brought for our own hair, well since i am the guy of course i have to take my dog into the shower and the smell came right off, i was amazed but never used it on my hair again, but i did use it on my dog because you would think she would have learned but noooooooo, hope that helps, best regards arthur scott usmc
soak it in white distilled vinegar for several hours..
then wash it with regular detergent. the vinegar's acidity takes out the funk and kills any mold spores that may be hanging out in it..
i wash all my caving gear this way and it never smells like cave!!

take the skunk out of it and let it sleep somewhere else
