The standard for competitive play world wide (NBA, FIBA, NCAA, ABL, NBDL, etc,)is 10 feet from the floor. In parks and some gyms it is not always at ten feet. Sometimes they are a few inches higher or shorter. For small leagues the hoop is at 8 feet off the ground compensating for the players height and strenght.
