I used to love football, now i think its full of overpaid perfumed ponces?
can anyone change my mind?
Answers:
I agree with you entirely. Football started going to hell in a handcart when you couldn't shoulder charge the goalie into the net!
I couldn't see David Webb or Norman Hunter playing these days! (You need to be of a certain age!).
Would'nt want to change your mind, I agree with you 100%
No, why change your mind? I used to like football as well, but the wages players earn each week is more than most people make a year, which in my opinion is disgusting when there is so much poverty in the world!
your right they are, with millions of people dieing from starvation and medical needs and crimes reaching epic proportion its very ridicules to pay a person a million dollars to run around on a field with a ball. Nothing against the game itself mind you, it is fun to play in your back yard or where ever, but the fame and fortune we put on it is crazy.
You need to think back to "why you used to love the sports". Football is amazing and just like every kind of sports out there, it is been commercialized, i know what you mean. Actually, the players are now commercial icons BUT they still play good football
I agree.
In fact I'm no longer bothered who wins or who loses.
Surprising also is how useless they are.
Look at the national team, from bad to worse but the media just goes on and on.
I think your question should have included the words 'viscious and unsporting', too. And I wouldn't want to try to persuade you to change your mind because you are right!
Why would I want to change your mind? How you feel is how you feel. Period.
Personally I love FB and just like all other big sports it's full of over-paid athletes. Doesn't affect my opinion of the game in anyway, but that's me.
You have every right to your opinion as I do mine.
Cheers!
Football is the beautiful game, end of story. Its true the players get paid way too much money, but dont hold that against them. 90% of players worked hard their whole life to be good at a sport they love, and if they are offered 50 grand or more a week why would they turn it down. I know diving is a big thing, but i have seen clear cut penalties not given for the fact they stayed on their feet. Im not saying diving is right, but with only the ref and linesman to judge all decisions im not surprised players dive, if you could do something in your line of work that was bending the rules and you thought you could get away with it you would. There needs to be replays or more linesmen. As for the perfume, just dont smell them
