I would not imagine, as 1) I've never heard anything of the such, and 2) their nickname is the Red Devils.

No!
YES
yes it is. the club isnt officially any religion, but traditionally it is followed by catholics. This is why celtic and man u have an affinity. Man City play in blue from their protestant connections, as are rangers and everton. The affliations come from the irish migrant communites who are traditionally catholic who worked in glasgow and liverpool in docks/shipbuilding, and who later settled in manchester via trade through the mancher ship canal.
Traditionally they were more associated with being an 'Irish Catholic' club due to the big Irish population in Manchester living close to their ground, firstly in Newton Heath, then in Old Trafford. However, there is little or even no sectarianism vs Man City, like that often seen in Glasgow, just a little polite banter. I'm a City fan myself, so will leave you to make your own mind up on the origins of their supporters nowadays.

It's a Manchester club ? Pity the fans aren't !
Yes it is, but only in so much as they have a large catholic irish following. Man Citys origins is much more clear cut as a Protestant Club, as it started as a Church football football club. There has never been any real sectarianism between the two clubs. I also believe that when Man United changed there name from Newton Heath, a lot new players were recruited from Scotland - which i think helps tie the Celtic and United together a bit more
