Blue belt in WTF. Its fine. good for cardio.. don't make the mistake that its the perfect art for self defence.
I did it for 2 weeks and when I got a serious kick during sparring. I chickened out till today.
Might be a great martial art to take on but my ribs didn't think so!
(wtf)
Taekwondo must make its practitioners fit and healthy and brave. Whilst working in some Taekwondo club rooms I had to use the toilet. Then of course I needed some toilet paper and found it sitting in a puddle of icy water. Using this was about the most terrible experience of my lifetime.
I do TTCA, Traditional Tae Kwon Do Chung Do Association. I've been doing it 15 yrs & now have a school. I think it's great. I'm sure you will get many responses from people who will trash TKD. This is based on ignorance of traditional TKD & the need to build themselves up by trying to tear others down. Ignore them.
As long as you find your school to give you a positive experience, stay with it. If not, you might want to look elsewhere. You didn't say which association your school is part of, so I can't compare yours to others.
I just do plain TKD im a second degree black belt and ive done it know for 8 years. If your bored though u should check out the creative forms with music, they can be really fun and if your get fast songs they are really intense
I do, WTF
LOL, I laugh every time i see those letters
I love it, Im a first degree BB in TKD, great exercise, great self defense! Been doing it for 4 years. (WTF)
Its for kids.
Ye a guy thats a nurse at my local hospital does it, not that different from other styles in my opinion
hey, i do taekwondo Ive been doing it for 4-5 years now, i was made to do it then when i got good at it ii started to like it. I'm now a second Dan black-belt and will soon be joining the national pumsae team. if i didn't have my first GCSE modules in the summer, i would be going to Korea for training !!!!
i get allot of satisfaction from doing it and i help allot of people too. its a good place to socialise and meet people.
I am in the ATA and I have been doing TKD for a little over 2 years. Before I started TKD, I weighed about 190lbs. I always used to get headaches, and I was always tired. Today, I weigh between 165 -170lbs, I almost never get a headache and I have plenty of energy. One day I will be an instructor(god willing) and eventually have my own school. I am a 1st degree BB rec. I will be testing for my 1st Deg. BB decided in December. One last thing I wil tell you, during my first couple of classes I almost quit because I had a hard time keeping up with the rest of the class because I would be out of breath so quick from lack of exercise I guess, I was emabrrased because of that. My Instructor said to give it a month before you decide to quit, so I worked even harder and eventually I got where I am today.
I've been doing TKD for 8 months and i have already learned alot,
but most people don't like it because some shcools don't teach you very fast so people Quit because they can't kick someone through a wall after 2 days of training.
