Why are Tottenham supported by Jews more than any other club?
Answers:
I think its historic demographics. A lot of the Jewish immigrants were working in the East End of London and became owners of the sweat shops manufacturing clothes. They employed the new wave of immigrants coming in form India and Pakistan. As they became richer and the new immigrants started to take more of the older housing in the East End the Jews moved to the newer and what was then the more expensive part of London in the North. As the next generations of Jewish people grew up in the North with their new found wealth they entertained themselves at the local football club Tottenham. I believe some became directors of the club putting some of their wealth into supporting it. That has carried on as part of a tradition for the Jewish people around North London to support Tottenham although I am sure it is not true of every Jew.
cos north london is full of them
tottenham is the ancient hebrew nam for jerusalem
Tottenham was once a favourite place in which Jewish people chose to live.
yes there are quite a number of Jewish families in that area of london so I guess thats the reason
I'm pretty sure that White Hart Lane is located in the centre of a large Jewish community.
Geographical! It is the nearest ground to Muswell Hill. That happens to be an area highly populated by Jews.
Are they?? Is it necessary to proclaim your religion when supporting any club!
Because its near a jewish community.
Because it is run and own by Jews and Tottenham and surrounding areas is where they are mainly based.
White Hart Lane is approximately 4 miles from Stamford Hill which has a very large orthodox jewish community. If thats the reason, so be it, but you do not have to be from any particular religous background to support Tottenham
Because they are in the jewish area of London
