At the rate Liverpool are going they could miss out on a Champions league place.?

Very unlikely. People were saying the same things about Arsenal's title challenge following their wobbly start.
But over 6-7 games, they have hauled their way back to within reach of the top 2.

The same thing will happen to Liverpool, barring an unimaginable collapse. This is simply because Big 4's gulf in class with the rest, appears insurmountable (for this season at least).

The Pompeys, Villas, Boltons and Evertons, have yet to reach a certain standard and have consistency. Inevitably, results will go against them at some stage, and they don't have sufficient cover like Liverpool, Chelsea, Utd and Arsenal, to recover fully and quickly.

I conveniently ignored Spurs, because they appear to be the only one who has the personnel and ability, to challenge for that coveted 4th place. But they too have yet to gel and obtain consistency. Moreover, in terms of the Big 4, they are still a few good lengths back. Besides this, to oust one of them, Spurs will need several doses of Lady Luck at all the crucial junctures.

As such, I would still favour Liverpool to get things right, go on a run and occupy that 4th or 3rd spot. Unless of course, they get seriously distracted in Europe and go for broke, like they did in Istanbul, thus ignoring the league.
But I can't really see that happening.
Is that a question or a statement of fact?
Yes they will miss out but Rafa is only concerned about winning it, so watch out for them turning in good games in the Champions League
Yes they could, although I have a sneaky suspicion that they will come good and get in by the narrowest of margins. Squad rotation doesn't seem to be working for them at the moment though.
nice statement and I agree with it
Judging by Rafa's success (and luck) in the past, I think he's relying on Everton winning a place in the Champions League, then getting disqualified for having two grounds, and having to give up their place to their nearest neighbours.
Just swap places with us.We would love to miss out on any thing to do with Championship League.
."Love Liverpool".
from Leeds United supporter.
nah, they l rip up forth or third place like always at the end
I think Bolton are on a high and will stay that way. they will get the 4th spot. Liverpool will be either 6th or 8th. I like Liverpool but they are doing Crap. Its gonna be 1st Arsenal 2nd Chelsea 3rdMan U and 4th Bolton 5th Reading 6th Aston Villa and liverpool
If your question is 'at the rate Liverpool are going' then YES obviously they will miss out.

But if you're asking whether they will miss out on a UCL place at the end then NO, they will not. Apart from the big three, no other team seems capable of clinching the 4th spot. The teams that are up there currently are too lightweight to last the distance, so there is a >90% chance that Liverpool will climb back up.

I'm not a Liverpool fan, but they have too much quality compared to the other teams to not qualify for the UCL.
its way to early mate in the season remember last season 4th place was decided on the last day arsenal v spurs
hope so
we are better than chelsea man united and arsenal and we will prove that as the season developes
Liverpool are currently at the top in Group C of the 2006-2007 UEFA Champions' League after their away win in FRANCE against Girondins De Bordeaux 1-0 on matchday 3 with 7 points. they will secure the passage to the knock-out stage if they beat the French team at home on Tuesday, 31 October 2006.
No. They'll finish third. There's alot of points to be won before May.
