Would andy gray be a good manager? or is he made to look good by technology available to him?

Andy Gray has had the chance to be a real manager and turned it down. all football managers eventually get sacked, but this is unlikely to happen to Andy at Sky.
Also, it's much easier to talk a good game than it is to actually make it happen.
He's a good pundit but thats still very different to management
Andy Gray is very good but can he moticvate players? I think he could do as well as a lot of managers out there. Martin O'Neil is still the best though!!
If he'd make a good manager, he'd have been one by now.

Andy Gray was on the verge of becoming the Everton manager some years back but we gave the job to Walter Smith instead.

He was a coach at Aston Villa a few years ago and when he was offered the job at Sky he took the Murdoch shilling and the easy option.
He realised that he wouldnt be able to cut it as a manager in his own right and decided it would be much easier to be paid handsomely for criticising others (with the benefit of technology to assist his judgement) rather than putting his own reputation on the line.
