Wise and poyet going to leeds?
Do any of you think they have let swindon down by leaving or do you think its a good move?
Answers:
For Wise & Poyet it's a good move, but not for Swindon. The best start they've had in years and they transfer the manager. Typical Swindon. I imagine it's the Boards decision as there's Compensation to come from Leeds. A town that wants City status, with a team run worse than a Sunday morning pub team.
As a Leeds supporter not sure about this one either- we need an experienced guy to get us out of the hole we are in- I'd have loved Mike Newell, Alan Curbishley or Joe Royle but Wise and Poyet ain't in that class. Having said that Wise did alright with Millwall- so hopefully but its not the greatest of appointments.
Better than Hoddle though.

I think considering the sad state Leeds are in it as good as they will get. I am sure Curbishley has been approached but didn't fancy it, why would he?
I am a bit brassed off as I have a bet on Swindon winning the League 2 title!
as a long distance leeds united supporter (australia) I am happy that we might finnaly have some help trying to win a game or two, really pissed that leeds went down from the premiership, but if they go down any further i wont even be able to watch any games at all...
also sack the caretaker manager he is as good as t1ts on a bull...
bad decision by wise to go to leeds utd, being a luton fan even i was surprised that we won so easy.I think leeds need a manager who will kick the arses of the under performing leeds players, but you ain`t having mike newel
Good move for them, but as a Leeds supporter I am gutted we`ve got a muppet like Dennis Wise coming on board.
it could well be only time will tell tho
Its a great move for Wise and Poyet but is it the right move for Leeds? Well maybe! they are deep in debt and no half decent manager is wanna go to leeds the state they are in. But where is Dennis Wise's experience. Yes he took Millwall to the FA Cup Final and into Europe, but surely that was with Ray Wilkins experience too. Gus Poyet (Spurs legend!) has no experience what so ever. I think he has done so well at Swindon because he is a manager who can motivate players. But can anyone motivate Leeds at the moment?? Only time will tell.
Waylander has got this one right..from another swindon fan.
dennis wise is not leeds new manager
def let swindon down - but hey wise may kick their slack asses into form - either that or threaten not to pay them .. some goals would surley come then i bet..
Football clubs are often accused of dismissing managers too quickly and showing no loyalty. It is hardly surprising if managers act like Wise. I feel sorry for Swindon as they have made a reasonable start to the season and now their rhythm will be upset. It will take a minor miracle to get Leeds up and running again but I am sure Wise will at least get some pride back into the team. The trouble is that they are so used to losing that once they concede a goal the heads go down. They are really leaking goals so his first job is to organise the defence. It would be ironic if Leeds went down and Swindon were promoted.
