I think Southampton STILL hold the record for the number of goals scored in a single match, 6-3 in the 96/97 Season (i think) The game was also memorable for United's poor defeat, blaming the colour of their away kit blending in with the crowd. They changed to the black strip at half-time, and conceded two more goals..Us Saints supporters are still dining-out on that one!!
