So Robsons left the albion - what will happen to them now?
Answers:
Probably not a lot. Unfortunately whilst a great player and ambassador, Robson has never really succeeded as a manager. Even when he has taken a team up (Middlesborough) or kept one up (WBA), they've only gone down (again) at a later time. The sad fact is that there are very few great former players who go on to be great managers. If you look around, many of the really successful managers were mediocre players.
However, if the WBA want to "keep it in the family" with another ex-player, why not give Cyril Regis a call?!
Imagine if they go down to the 1st division.. we are struggling (SWFC)
They'll start winning games.
Alan Curbishley is a man in waiting! I reckon Curbishley will go to West Brom. That's why I think they have got rid of Robson!
OOPs I just asked a similar question - sorry! I would love us to try Nigel Clough - shame Mr O'Neil went to the Villa! There aren't many peeps out there at the mo though, are there? Megson? Big Ron - the possibilities are limited
He will join the circus of has- beens on tele-wireless etc.All the pundits will say that it is a liberty that he got sacked and he will soon get another job as football cannot afford to lose a manager with his ability.
Albion will sign another manager who will do no better as they are essentially a duff team.
Unless the next WBA manager gets a substantial budget increase, they will probably continue to be one of those "tweener" teams like Sunderland - good enough to get promoted, not good enough to stay up.
they will get promotion
The same as when he left Boro - they will go from strength to strength.
