How do you get into a proper darts league?
I have been playing darts for my local in a pub league in Sheffield, England for a while & feel I am ready to broaden into better leagues. I have tried looking for info but drawn a blank. Any suggestions?

Having played pub league, super league and county league darts in my time in Scotland the best way is to make your self know to your Pub leagues secretary. If you have a good enough standard of play he may put your name forward to the area's super league captain. First step on the ladder. After that you have to start winning games on a regular basis at the level then you should be invited (buy a few drink for the right people along the way also) to try out for your county. At this point you can start getting respect from the big guns in the game as this is where they all keep their games sharp. If your not finishing a leg in 15 darts much more often than not then all this is way beyond you. I used to practice 4 hours each day when I was playing at my best.

Grow a massive stomach and eat loads of beans and curry to create wind, you will then be a proper darts player.
next stage is super league darts,this is where you play against people of county standard.good luck
I agree with "a friend," you need to be a big fatty before broadening your horizons! Look to be a 20 stoner first! You need to be good at beer swilling & farting?
well i also play darts for my local pub here in Northern Ireland and you have to first and foremost a good darts player so u can then go and play in the counties, which of course will be far harder than the pub leagues after that you can go on and and play in the amatuer leagues and then go on from there.

While playing in two different Clubs in pub leagues, one of my Sons was selected to join the Sussex under 18 team.
Maybe you have to join a few different teams for extra exposure to the County Scouts.
You have to spend so many hours practising, be sure it is what you want.

with regional games sec/chairman names and addresses in then Write or phone,not as hard as you think or write to brewerys
