no one person is worth that kind of money. likewise when i win £120 million on euro millions this Friday. 119 of my relatives and close friends will benefit. £1million gives you £30,000+ a year interest tax free who cant live on that ? Most people would pay to play for man utd ,England, real Madrid, he takes it for granted gets paid and moans when he's not used. he seriously needs a reality check.Oh and I hope all my friends and relatives enjoy their MacDonald's happy meal.
Nobody can justify the receipt of that much annual income; it's just another indication of how crazy and out of control the whole 'celebrity' thing has become. It's not just top sportsmen, but entertainers too. I think it's soccer that mainly comes to mind when we think big money in sport, and as to whether teams win or lose, I guess it all goes back to the 'tribal' instinct. A lot of people have a need to relate to a particular club and therefore feel that they 'belong'. This can be a club team, or in some cases the national team satisfies that need. Once they identify with that team, the need to win becomes personal and it goes beyond simply watching a game and taking enjoyment from watching skillful players. Watching some fans on the terraces leads me to understand the extreme feelings their team can provoke and it's quite scary!

Why do these famous people get paid so much for appearing for seconds in adverts, then the company wacks up the price of the product. Why dont they get a normal person, pay them a few quid and keep their prices low so sales will boom. Who would wear something that he wears anyway, I would steer clear from lining his pocket.
