Where is the best place to visit in the U.K.?
I am not from the U.K. so I do not know much about it. I was thinking about travelling there soon, but I just want to know your opinion as to where in the U.K. should I visit?

Jersey in the Channel Islands.
Depends what you want. London is the obvious choice but hugely touristy and expensive. There are loads of other cool towns such as Manchester, which are still very funky and have loads to do.
Don't forget, wherever you go, the South is a LOT more expensive than the north - including accomodation, meals, drinks, etc.
There are some fantastic beaches in and around Dorset (though not at this time of year) and the Lake District is breathtaking.
London and Manchester are probably the most exciting/interesting cities in England. Try Edinburgh and Glasgow in Scotland. These are obviously major cities so you will enjoy all that a metropolis has to offer. If you have a particular interest, perhaps you could post a question highlighting your interests for more specific answers. I guarantee you'll enjoy your time in the UK all the same.
*London, because it is the capital. This has all the modern stuff(best clubs,pubs,theatres, museums etc)
*York,because it was the original capital. This has some beautiful historical sights. Take walk up the shambles(an original cobbled street) to the York minster(huge, beautiful cathedral), and also take ghostwalk at night. It is supposed to be one of the most haunted cities in the world.
*Newquay,cornwall. Go here in the summer. All the surfing and a great atmosphere day/night.
try a trip to the far north of Scotland. visit Dornoch and then travel by train up to Wick. See the most amazing countryside in the world. i loved it.
NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE
reason to visit , because its class.
The North East if England is a beautiful place to visit. It has a lot of tourist attractions including the Angel of the North (massive, amazing sculpture), Durham Cathedral (one of the most beautiful and biggest cathedral's in the UK, and also some of Harry Potter was filmed there!), Metro Centre (biggest shopping mall in the UK + the biggest indoor rollercoaster!!).
Plus the night life up here is class.
And we are a lot more friendly than people down South (No offence) but it's true.

Galleries of justice in Nottingham

london with out even thinking bout it i live just out side london and before i started working there only went there a few times but after working there for a year i realised how much fun there is to be had i find it amazing how london never stopes weather its 12 in the afternoon or 12 at night 24 hour city and there is something for everyone
Manchester just dodge the chavs and keep your hand on your wallet!
Windsor is very nice bit of history. Richmond is a nice little town and near to the famous Kew Gardens. Also near to tube for travel to London and more sightseeing. I believe you should do London if you come to the UK.

If you like countryside and beautiful scenery, you can't beat The Lake District in North-West England, although it's probably better to go in the summer as it can seem quite bleak in the winter.
come to wales there is always a welcome in the hillside ans so much to do and see camarthen /pembroke cardiff/ etc and wont take long to see it either as we are not a large island and apart from the crap weather most of the time its brilliant millenium stadium etc cardiff castle tenby swansea loads to see and do and so much culture as well who could ask for more christ i think ill visit myself oops i live here doh""""

Thats very subjective, what do you want to see? The Ferry across the Mersey, go to Liverpool. The tower of London, go to London etc etc The UK is a much bigger place than you think and has so much heritage that you will never visit it all in a lifetime. You need to be more specific about what you want to do!
London probably has the most assorted stuff to do, but it's not necessarily very representative of the rest of the UK. It's definitely a great place to visit though, just very expensive and tiring.
It all depends on what you want to do, some of my favourite places are Stratford-upon-Avon, for the theatre and because it's a lovely, good-size town to visit. I also adore Chester, I grew up there so I'm biased but again it has some wonderful buildings, good manageable size and interesting Roman ruins.
I'm a big fan of the Welsh landscape and seascape and quite fond of Wales and the Welsh in general (I don't find too many Brits outside of Wales who agree with me but personally I think it's fab!).
The North of England is great too, Leeds is a good city, York has lots of interesting historical stuff and I have a soft spot for Whitby which combines some stunning architecture with incredible tat and a seaside location (great if you're a Dracula fan). If you want some rural action then check out the Lake District or The Peak District. Northumberland is lovely too if you want to experience some glorious coastlines off the beaten track a bit more.
Can't leave out Scotland either - I think Edinburgh and Glasgow are both great cities - since fewer people seem to like Glasgow I'll concentrate a bit more on that - the cathedral is glorious, it has some fantastic art galleries and museums (Kelvingrove and the Burrell Collection) and if you like Charles Rennie Macintosh there's plenty of his work to see. The Scottish countryside is also spectacularly beautiful and very varied - Highlands, Islands, Lowlands and everything else you could want. If you like golf then check out Troon or St. Andrews - both great links courses and lovely places although very different.
NORFOLK because it has very scenic views and is a true rural area with the country and wildlife
Go to Oxford - the Randolph Hotel and to Bath. Visit Exeter - from there you can fly Malta Airlines to Malta and relax.
Warwick Castle is a must.
