Anyone with a student oyster card? - how do u use it and put money on it?
- UK students only!!
Answers:
You can recharge (put money) your Oyester card at any London Underground station or resellers. Or else the best way is to register online. So you can recharge your card easy.
Oyster has different types. I'm using Oyster prepay coz I'm not travel much. So to choose the best type is to login to the TFL website. Aslong as u r a student you will get a discount card.
Student OC gives u 30% of the regular price of weekly, monthly and annual cards.
Just touch in and touch out whevever usee the oyster reader which is at all tube stations and major rail stations. As well as on buses. You can top up or put money on it or even buy travel cards at the oyster ticket counter at all tube stations and even at the machines. Also there are designated oyster counters at various shops/stores nationwide and of course you can do it online. You should have gotten an instruction booklet with it when u got it. There are phone numbers you can call for all the info and if all else fails just go to the tube station they will help u out there.
Good Luck!
