Does anyone know of a cheap but nice bed and breakfast near the M.e.n arena.manchester.?

i work in the arena and there are no b&b's close by, there are lots of hotels though theres a premier lodge about 5 mins away its 55 pound a night, theres a travel lodge not to far away either and i think thats 62 pounds, the others are more expensive.
well we have just returned from watching the Muse gig last night,. absolutely brilliant.. they are amazing live! phenomenal simple phenomenal!
anyway back to the question, we stayed over at the campanile hotel.. it's about a 10-15 min walk from the men arena,
it cost us £50 for a night but we got tea, the comfiest bed and en-suite facilities,.free parking too. so if you get there early you can do what we did and walk into the city and do a bit of shopping. handy too if you want to go for a few beers like we did..

Get yourself up Cheetham Hill Road.it is quite near, and as it's a main thoroughfare out of Manc., you might find b+b's. There were loads in the late seventies.but that was to cater for families from far away, visiting relatives who were in Strangeways Prison (which also is nearby). But don't let that put you off - stayed in one myself years ago - in the days when it used to be around £4 a night!
They have a premier travel inn/lodge thing right opposite the arena, about 2 mins away.
Don't think you'll find any b and bs right in the city centre.
I'd recommend the Ox - www.theox.co.uk - it's in Castlefield whcih is about 10 minutes' walk away, but it's a brilliant hotel and quite reasonable. Worth the taxi fare to the venue!
