I think that while it may just about be possible to find a one bed studio of that price, I'm not sure you'd want to live in it. There are loads of house shares on websites like : http://www.gumtree.com/
Living with other people can be a nightmare, but if you managed to live with some people at home then you'll be able to get through a year with some other people. You even get to choose who they are this time round. And you all have to be civil to each other because no one knows anyone else.
Give it a whirl, worst thing that'll happen is that you'll be where you are now, but in a few months time.
Have you tried
www.rightmove.com? may have some properties on there for you
i just did a quick search on google, and came up with this one:

you won't get a one bed flat for that money.
why don't you share with some one.
I would advise you to contact a local estate agent in those areas, and to check the free papers. If you are going to be paying by housing benefit make sure your potienal landlord doesn't have a problem with it, I believe most landlords don't like housing benefit.
come sleep with me i wont charge you any rent at all,ill even feed you
You will be VERY lucky to find somewhere for that price.
You might be able to rent a room for that much but no way will you find your own place.
Sorry!
The three most popular national websites http://www.findaproperty.com/ , http://www.propertyfinder.com/ , and http://www.rightmove.co.uk/ may be of help. Alternatively, use yell.com http://www.yell.com/ to search for estate agents.
I'm afraid its practically impossible for that sort of money, you would probably be able to afford a bedsit but it's unlikely you'd get a studio. The cheapest studios I've seen are about 500 per month. If you can share with other people, you'd get a lot nicer place than you'll be able to afford on your own.
