Never been on a plane before??

Ok i know this sounds dumb but is there anything that you cant take in your luggage i know like scissors and sharp things but like any other stuff your not allowed?

Answers:
You can take most anything in your checked baggage. In your cary on, stay away from anything sharp. You can take travel sized toothpaste, mouthwash, etc. If I might suggest, buy new (sealed) products before you leave. Place them in a qt sized ziplock bag. That way TSA screeners can see unopened products in the bag by looking at the seals. Also, another suggestion, arive at the airport wearing flipflops. Just in case you need to have them searched.
Check www.tsa.gov for the most up to date information.

No more of 8 ounces of any liquid (combined), no cigarette lighters (matches are ok).

Normal stuff is fine, stuff like toilletries, aerosols and the like. Don't try to take on gas containers, weapons or anything that has dangerous goods written all over it. If in doubt, ask. There are a number of information displays that will let you know.
call your carrier and ask them, they will have the latest info. remember , don't pack any thing of value in your checked luggage. especally electronic stuff camers, laptop etc stuff gets stolen every day
