Where is the best place to stay in Berlin?
for 4 22 year old males, near clubs, bars etc..
Answers:
Hyatt[26] Located direct at the Potsdamer Platz within walking distance to major attractions. One of the best business hotels in town. During the Berlinale film festival the hotel to stay because all locations are in walking distance
Youth hostel-wise try 'Heart of Gold', it's definitely one of the best in Berlin.
"Helterskelter" is also great and a bit bigger so more people about.
"Circus Hostel" is very popular but I've never stayed there.
For bars and clubs head to the "Mitte" district.
On the airport.. The next airplane to another
city.. a nice and beautiful city..
Far far away from Berlin !
Stay out of trouble, stay out of
"The Battle Field" — There are
some great cities in this world,
Berlin isn't one of them.
Hamburg, or Amsterdam
Arcotel in Berlin Mitte, it's in an arty area of East Berlin. lots of good bars nearby. Quite reasonably priced for such a stylishly designed hotel.
"first floor hostel". It's in the "party area" (Sonntagstrasse) and near everything (that's worth to be seen). check it out! You'll have to book first though.

go to the website and just book a room or somthing. It's cheap, it's nice and clean and quite new. If you take a 4 bedroom, it cost only 17€ per person; and for 3€ more you'll get fresh bedclothes and an "all you can eat" breakfast buffet. They have an offer now: If you take three nights in a row, it'll come with bed, breakfast, fresh bedclothes, towels and a rented BICYCLE!! =)
(I sound like I'm an advertiser for first floor. Well, I'm not, just that I love that area and everytime I go to Berlin I stay there. Tried others, but that's still the most fun and best value for money. It's directly at the S-Bahn station "Ostkreuz", good transportation.
Dont stay in Mitte. Its just historic and buisness for tourists. If your foreign got to kreuzberg or Neu Kolln. There you will find many nice Turkies that will be your friend. For a nice impression go to Zehlendorf and to get scared go to Pankow. Spandau is not so bad and if you like getting raped by turkies then neither is Neu Kolln. You must be careful not to speak english in the wrong places and you must also stay in very popular places even though they are not the best places. I mean potsdamer platz or brandenburg tor. Not to live. You should find people who live in Zehlendorf whom you can stay with. I once had a french student stay in my house in Zehlendorf. They can show you Berlin.
There's an AWESOME hostel called Generator.
It's your typical hostel but one step up. It's as big as a hotel and has many floors. There's a bar and a cafeteria on the main level, a laundry room on each floor, and the beds and showers are typical but comfortable. It's safe, not dirty, and not too expensive. And if I remember correctly, it's a short S-bahn ride from some good bars and there's a station right near the actual hostel.

Personally, I'd go to Hamburg. The city is nicer, cleaner and the people are way more friendly than those weird Berliners!
