Anyone from Watford?
My boyfriend is from Watford and has asked whether I would consider moving there. Can anyone tell me what it's like, the town, the nightlife, restaurants, things to do, cinemas, the schools, etc.
Answers:
Near enough to know it!
The Harlequin is quite a good shopping centre, and there are some nice boutiques. Lots of bars and stuff and a few clubs for the night life. But I'd avoid a club called Destiny - full of chavs (I got started on by a 16 year old 5ft nothing male chav there once. I'm 5ft10 and in my 20s!! AND FEMALE!! haha!)
Nice cinema near to watford is in garston (Vue cinema) not sure about the schools to be honest.
Erm! Cant think anymore!
like most places, you have nice areas and really scummy areas - it all depends. But its not a bad place. Have a trip down and take a look for yourself!
I stayed in the Watford Post House last year. It cost £170 and was a pile of junk. Make him move to your gaff!
I used to work in watford. It's a big town, plenty of really nice restaurants, night life is good. Few teeny bopper style clubs but u'll soon learn where to go.
all in all its not a bad place
Go and find out for yourself. it's right on the end of the metropoloton line, but takes ages to get into central london.
That marlon king is a good striker though! They have a good footie team i thinks *:)
I lived in Abbots Langley for 6 years, my daughter still does. Watford is ok, some good bars etc.. for a night out, the only problem is that men far out number girls and so the town can feel a little tense on a Friday/Saturday night.
Watford has one of the best girls schools in the country, Watford Grammar for Girls, outside of Watford the schools are ok, mostly above national average.
Probably one of better provincial towns and only 20 mins from Euston.
Are you sure want to married with him and stay there?
