How far between King’s Cross Mainline station to King’s Cross Thameslink station?

Is it difficult if I am carrying two suitcases in total 46kg with a little girl to Gatwick airport? How long it will take in a normal speed? Is it a level crossing or through a series of up-and-down steeply staircase? Many thanks.

Not worth getting a taxi. It's not even a 5 minute journey (even with suitcases and a child). If you arriving on the OVERGROUND train you simply walk out at street level (take the side entrance on your left when leaving the trains on platforms 1-6 etc) Opposite is McDonald's on Pentonville Road. Walk down there and KX Thameslink is on your right about 400 yards away. Inside the station there are steps to the trains. If you arrive at KX mainline on the tube, quierounvaquero is right and you should be able to do most of the journey underground
It's a five minute walk, and includes an escalator. Those suitcases with wheels work best!
It's a five minute walk. I think you can walk underground between Kings Cross and Thameslink also, which might be easier.
it depends which way you go, it will take about five minutes to walk and there will be stairs
not going to be easy for you, go out side get a cab maybe a few quid but worth it, since your carrying so much stuff
It's about a four minute walk. It's not difficult. You just need to walk out of the King's Cross mainline main entrance and turn left. You will have to cross at a couple of pedestrian lights once you get out of the mainline station, but it's not very far. The route is signposted.

As far as I recall, you would need a valid London Underground ticket to use the underground tunnel route, so going out of the station overground is probably your only option.
Over ground it's about 3 mins, underground it seems to be about 5, but go under as there's no traffic and it's a straight line ish.
Buena suerte.
easiest way is to go through underground towards victoria line platform, then you'll see signs towards thameslink and you just walk through the tunnel and will arrive at thameslink platforms. this is quicker and will save you crossing all those confusing roads outside kings x.
