Looking for recommendations for getting married in las vegas?
hi, living in ireland and travelling to las vegas in two years time to get married, Would like to get married in a nice small chapel, and have a reception afterwards with a sit down meal, some music, want somewhere that's going to be really nice, not too big. Hopefully about 30 guest will be travelling, also can anyone recommend somewhere for us and our guest to stay, want somewhere nice but reasonable, located on the strip (am i asking too much here?). Also, would like somewhere really nice to stay the night of the wedding, any ideas? Any help or ideas would be really appreciated, thanks a million

Hi,
I worked in Vegas for years organising weddings amongst other things and can give you some ideas.
Chapels.
1. Little White Chapel. They are the most famous chapel in Vegas and have a whole choice of ideas and packages for you. This is where Britney got married (the one that was anulled) Michael Jordan, Joan Collins and a whole host of other stars. They have a nice chapel, with several rooms but they are also famous for their drive through weddings and Elvis ceremonies. They also have internet coverage so anyone at home can watch the ceremony if they can't afford to go.
2. Little Chapel of Flowers. Not as famous as the other one but a really nice chapel in a nice part of town.
3. Monte Carlo or Mandalay Bay Hotel chaples. (all the hotels have a chapel but these are bothe nice and have been to weddings at both so can recommend them.
4. The Bellagio. really nice chapel in one of the best hotels in the world. It will cost you though!
The chapels don't have reception rooms, the hotels do. However I would recommend the restaraunt at the top of the Stratosphere Hotel, the restaraunt revolves and you get a great view of the strip, price are reasonable.
Get a limo for the trip to the chapel there, they are very cheap (about $70 for an hour).
The truth is if you want a fun and unique wedding Vegas is the place. But if you want a classy wedding Vegas has that too.
Taking into consideration location, price and quality here are my recommendations for a hote.
1. Luxor - good prices for a great room
2. Mandalay Bay - More expensive but one of the best places to be in Vegas
3. Monte Carlo - Cheaper but classy
4. New York, New York - Expensive but a great location and unique
5. Paris - Similar to NY, NY but rooms are small
6. Bellagio - Very expensive but maybe worth it to you
Anyway good luck, have fun!
oh BTW - All these places are listed on google and you can get prices etc..
in Vegas,,,,there are literally hundreds of places you could stay and/or get married.... and I'm sure which one you choose will be of personal preference,,, and of course, their level of cost will be greatly different from one to the next... all depends on if you want to spend 10 bucks, or 10 million.
do a search,,,,,two years time, im sure you will find the perfect one for you, and your budget.
Sorry but it sounds really tacky to me.
Vegas is an experience I believe but to get married?
Why not Aruba or somewhere else that is romantic and please not Niagara Falls
My husband and I stayed at the Luxor and had a really nice suite with a hot tub overlooking the strip. I'd love to go there and stay again.
Check out the Flamingo Hotel and Casino. It has a small wedding chapel on its grounds and its a beautiful place. Its great for pictures before, during and after the wedding. They also have banquet rooms, if that's what you want, for your dinner party.

hi there - there's lots of offers on rooms in Vegas at the moment. In terms of accommodation, try Expedia around 12 months before the wedding and see what they have available - their rates are usually very good. On the night of the wedding itself, how about treating yourself to a fountain-view suite at the Bellagio? (they're around $250 a night at the moment).
Little Church of the West has won 'Best Wedding Chapel' in the Las Vegas Review Journal for the last 8 years, so they have to be doing something right. However, if you want a comparison, the following website lets you search every wedding ceremony in Vegas by cost and theme/traditional, and has pictures of most chapels. It also lets you search reception venues with a fixed price menu by cost and cuisine.
One other tip is to buy the book Neon Nuptials (available via Amazon) which rates every chapel in Vegas by friendliness, romance and cleanliness.
Good luck - and have fun!
My daughter just got married at the trop and they did a very nice job I was expecting something kind of tacky but it was very dignified. Having been married for 30 years I take my marriage very seriously. And was pleased with the minister. How ever I have been going to Vegas for 30 years and we went to a local restaurant for our reception instead of using the hotel meeting room.
