on monday im going to manchester on a coach but i get travel sickness these days. Any ideas on how to stop it?

Answers:
Dramamine
dont go lol
there are pressure points on the insides of your wrists, applying pressure will help with the nausea.
Travel sickness is when your brain tells you you're sitting but your eyes tell you you're moving. This is a tough one. they have something for water travel. it may also help for bus travel, I suggest you ask a pharmacist.
sit on a brown paper bag.it really works.ginger biscuits before you travel as well, don't sit on them tho, eat them.hope this helps.
dont travel or go to your local chemist
Travel bands- you can get them from most chemists.
Also, putting a damp cloth on the back of your neck helps to ease nausea.
go to mothercare, and buy one of these travel sickness bands and u gauranteed it'l work, i sell hundreds evry day n ive not had 1 returned yet
Travel sickness tablets. Usually for kids, but they work for adults as well. Sold at a chemist over the counter.
Have a granddaughter who is not troubled with motion sickness provided she sits in the front seat of any vehicle. Doesn't work for everyone, though.
What will work are the patches perscribed by a doctor. You should start wearing one at least 24 hours before the ride. While wearing a patch, I've weathered very rough seas while others around me ended up in sick bay.
The worst thing you can do is read, I'm not sure why but reading whilst travelling makes you feel sick. Sucking on a mint is a classic way of preventing sickness and sitting as close to the front of the coach as you can will also help as there is not so much movement there. Enjoy your trip without turning green!
ginger tablets
I would recommend ginger of any kind. Tablets are ideal but even ginger buscuits can help! This remedy is ideal as there are no drugs involved and therefore no side effects or after effects. Hope this helps!
i suffered for years and took dramamine, it worked but made me drowsy, recently ive been using ginger tablets i got from the chemist and they really do seem to work
I also make sure i get a window seat adn look at the scenery rather than reading
I worked on ships for years (yes had seasickness the whole time) we were always taught to go on deck and watch the horizon, its somethign to do with ur equilibrium
so look out the window but dont watch things wizzing past, put ur eyes on something in the distance
good luck in manchester, have fun
stay at home
I wouldn't recommend taking pills as these can have funny side effects.
I am a sufferer myself so my advice is to make sure you don't travel on an empty stomach. However it is important that you eat a healthy filling meal and not something loaded with sugar or salt as this will make you more ill. Porridge, pasta or some other wholesome food is best. Then make sure you keep hydrated, so avoid coffee, alcohol and sugar before the trip. If you feel at all thirsty then this will irritate travel sickness. If you are at a window seat then keep your eyes on the horizon, because looking at the road or any other close moving object will not be good.
I wouldn't recommend reading also as this can cause headache, so I think the best thing is to put you head back and listen to chilled music.
TAKE LOADS OF DRY BISCUTES WITH YOU AND AVOID DRINKING WATER AND HAVE LOADS OF CARRY GAS WITH YOU LIKE A PAPER BAG TO THROW UP IN
HAVE A LEMON LOSINGER AND IT SHOULD KEEP YOU OFF FALLING SICK ON THE WAY IF PUSH COMES TO SHOVE TAKE AIMOL TABLE HALF HOUR BEFORE YOU GET ON THE BUS.
DON'T DRINK ANY LIQUIDS WHILE YOUR TRAVELIN WHEN YOU GET THE OTHER END DRINK ALL YOU CAN TO MAKE UP FOR THE LOSS OF LIQUIDS DON'T WORRY YOU WONT PASS OUT.JUST SO YOU DON'T FEEL SICK ON YOUR TRAVEL.HAVE DRY FOODS ON YOU NOTHING WITH A LIQIDE TAST TO IT.GOOD LUCK I USED TO HAVE BISQUITS ON MY TRAVELS OF 7HOURS TO 4,500FEET ABOVE SEE LEAVEL AND WHEN I USED TO LOOK OUT THE WINDOW AT THEM BENDS AND TURNS AND THE HIGHTS IT USED TO MAKE ME SICK AND I MEAN SICK,THIS IS IN INDIA.ON THE WAY FROM MUMBAI TO PANCHGANI OR TO MAHABLESHWAR IN THE HILLS.
SO GOOD LUCK AND HOPE YOU WONT BE SICK IF YOU DON'T HAVE ANY LIQUIDS.HAVE A SAFE JOURNEY.
Newspaper in the chest! lots of it scrunched up.
tablets at the chemist just for that reason
One Cornish pasty a day.
Buy some Dramamine.best travel sick pill ever!!
Take some snacks with you, not highly flavoured. Ginger biscuits, plain crisps. Dont read and sit near the front, not the back!!
Have fun! Sleeping is a good option too.
